The Certificate in Child Care Administor provides individuals with the needed foundation of child development knowledge and skills as well as the leadership and management skills needed to be an administrator. Research has shown that administrators that are productive and effective have knowledge and skills in how children grow and develop according to research and theories, can plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum as well as a wide repertoire of teaching strategies and understand the importance of partnering with families. In addition, individuals gain knowledge and practical application in leadership skills, personnel techniques and strategies working with finances. Lastly, individuals learn what it means to be a professional.
