The Basic Anesthesia Technologist credential is designed for Cer.A.T.s seeking board eligibility to sit for the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians Nationally recognized exam to become a Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer.A.T.T.). The Continuing Education program provided by OCCC allows these individuals to earn the necessary CEUs, according to ASATT criteria, to prepare for the examination.

Program requirements
The micro-credential has two required courses, each offering the learner 13-CEUs for 26-CEUs total (26-contact hours). To earn the Basic Anesthesia Technologist micro-credential, the individual must meet specific criteria:
Complete all modules in ACE-1113 Introductory fundamentals of Anesthesia Technology and ACE 1213 Basic Anesthesia Instrumentation.
Complete all weekly assessments with a minimum score of 80%
Complete a Final Anesthesia Care Plan
