Making fast, life-saving decisions is probably the most important thing a paramedic can do. If you want to help those who are hurt or in need, have an interest in the health care industry and are a quick, critical thinker, you might consider a career in the emergency medical sciences. Oklahoma City Community College offers a certificate of mastery in paramedic certification. This will give you the same training you need to enter the health care world without taking the general education requirements needed for a degree. Entry into this program requires National Registry Certification as an EMT or Advanced EMT.
