Humanities, A.A.

An Associate Degree in Arts in Humanities provides the knowledge of core workplace skills, critical thinking opportunities, diverse cultural understandings, and historical/philosophical foundations of the 21st century, while preparing students for building effective relationships in a diverse society. The Associate Degree in Arts in Humanities is flexible in course choice, while being intellectually enriching, developing critical thinking skills and empathetic understanding for others in order to relate and compete in an ever-changing, global world. Core courses are chosen from the fields of Humanities, Literature, and Philosophy. These courses center around the learning outcomes of human thought, human expression, and human relationship.  A degree in the Humanities provides a firm foundation for transfer to related four-year college and university degrees.
