RC 1324 - Respiratory Care Transistion 4 Credit Hours
Course Description: This is a three-hour elective course designed to assist the Certified Respiratory Care Technician who has been out of school for an extended period of time, or practicing in a specialty area in making the transition into the Respiratory Care Therapist program. This course may also be used as a remediation course for Respiratory Care Therapist students with significant areas of weakness identified during assessment testing or clinical practice. This course is designed to utilize comprehensive assessment of an individual’s current knowledge and skills to develop an individual plan of study for remediation. The student will be provided with a specific plan of objectives and skills to be mastered during the course and the necessary curriculum units.
Prerequisites: Admission to Respiratory Therapy Program; Minimum Reading and Writing; MATH 0033 - Basic Mathematics Must hold CRT credential Current RCP license OR be a second year RC student
