POLSC 2123 - Intro to American Politics 3 Credit Hours
Course Description: This course is designed to introduce the student to advanced concepts of politics in America at the federal governmental level. The student will study the foundations, institutions, and processes of American government. The course may cover the United States Constitution, Federalism, Civil Liberties, Civil Rights, Institutions of American Federal Government, and Political Parties. Additionally, the student may be exposed to domestic, economic, and foreign policies. The influence of mass media and current political events will be included as appropriate. The course will build upon concepts covered in POLSC 1113 - American Federal Government and expose the student to a more advanced understanding of American Politics
