HIST 2353 - World History: Latin America


3 Credit Hours

Course Description:
This course will survey the history of Latin America. Students will survey the history of Latin America, focusing on indigenous inhabitants, their interaction with Europeans, especially the Spanish and Portuguese, the colonization process, independence movements and current economic, political, and cultural issues. Course materials include textbooks and novels that relate the histories of the area as well as journal articles, websites and other sources. Student assignments will be submitted electronically.

Prerequisites:
ENGL 1113  English Composition I

This course is offered online and in-person during the late fall semester only.
