EMS 2284 - Paramedic Internship 4 Credit Hours
Course Description: The Paramedic Internship is an essential part of the Paramedic Program. The purpose of the Paramedic Internship is an opportunity to demonstrate problem-solving skills as a team leader. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking, integrated didactic and psychomotor skills, and effective performance in emergencies. The student will complete the required supervised hours and competencies in approved prehospital sites as determined by the CoAEMSP and the program. Upon completion, students will be able to recognize and appropriately respond to various EMS-related events: Including labs and field shifts.
Prerequisites: EMS 2064 and
EMS 2102 OR
EMS 2111 and EMS 2101
Additional Information: This course satisfies the computer proficiency requirement.
