CD 2333 - Curriculum and Play 3 Credit Hours
Course Description: This course discusses how to create, evaluate, and select developmentally appropriate materials, equipment, and environments that support children’s early learning. It provides the opportunity to plan, implement, and evaluate an integrated curriculum that focuses on children’s needs and interests and takes into account culturally valued content and children’s home experiences. The laboratory component of the course must be completed at off-campus approved sites. Students must meet pre-laboratory requirements. In this course, preschool and infant toddler early learning guidelines will be included.
Prerequisites: CD 2113 Introduction to Child Development (require a minimum grade of C)
