ANES 1112 - Intro to Anesthesia Technology

2 Credit Hours

Course Description:
This course is an introduction to the role of the Anesthesia Technologist and its relationship to other Healthcare Professionals. In addition, the student will be introduced to the theory and concepts of functioning in a surgical environment including a fundamental understanding of a variety of anesthesia equipment/supplies and basic case set-up.

Prerequisites:
SCL 1001  ENGL 1113  AHP 1013  CHEM 1123  CHEM 1131  Gen Ed Math

Pre or Corequisites:
BIO 1314  

Additional Information:
MUST BE ADMITTED TO ANESTHESIA TECH PROGRAM. - Must be completed prior to taking this course. This course satisfies the computer proficiency requirement.
