Child Development, Certificate

The Child Development Certificate is designed for individuals currently working in early childhood settings who wish to advance their careers, as well as those preparing to enter the early childhood profession. The certificate provides students with foundational knowledge and practical skills to support the growth, learning, and well-being of young children in a variety of early learning environments.
This program is aligned with the standards of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), ensuring that graduates are prepared to meet professional expectations for quality and ethical practice in the early childhood profession.

Program Notes

Notes: CD 2153, CD 2333, CD 2353, CD 2363, CD 2443, and CD 2713 have a clinical component that requires purchase of liability insurance. Child Development Lab fees are associated with these courses in the amount of $5.00 per credit hour.
