DCP 2523 - Digital Cinema Production Practicum 3 Credit Hours
Course Description: Course Description:
Students will work on a collaborative digital cinema production with an educational or vocational institution performing in a department head role through pre-production, principle photography and post-production to include but not limited to Camera, Grip, Electric, Production, Editing, Art and Sound departments.
Prerequisites: DCP-1214: Cinematography 1
and
DCP-2323: Film Editing/ Dgtl Effects 1

Additional Information: Outcomes:
Perform in the role of a department head on a collaborative production.
Demonstrate proper set etiquette, communication and mastery of various film
technologies required by creating the collaborative production.
Learning Objectives:
To demonstrate craft techniques as specific department head and evaluate and integrate
them with the overall demands of the collaborative production.
Apply the skills necessary to integrate the “art” of filmmaking with the labor crafts of the
film business.
To acquire the problem-solving skills a filmmaker must have to work as a member of a
collaborative production team and complete a film successfully.
