PTA 2135 - Practicum III

5 Credit Hours

Course Description:
The student will complete a minimum of seven weeks of full-time clinical experience at a designated physical therapy practice. The student will continue to function in the clinic as a healthcare team member, under the direct supervision of a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant, carrying out select portions of the plan of care, while exhibiting professional behaviors consistent with the values and expectations of the physical therapy profession and CAPTE standards. The student is expected to function at the standard of an entry-level physical therapist assistant at the completion of this course.

Prerequisites:
PTA 2035 Practicum II

Completed all PTA coursework with a grade of C or better, PTA Program GPA of 2.5 or better
