PTA 1312 - Practicum I 2 Credit Hours
Course Description: The student will complete a minimum of four full-time weeks at an assigned physical therapy practice. Under the direct supervision of a licensed physical therapist or physical therapist assistant, the student will assume patient care responsibilities appropriate to a physical therapist assistant student. Students will provide safe, effective, ethical, and legal care while demonstrating professional behaviors aligned with the values of the physical therapy profession and CAPTE standards.

PTA 1213 Therapeutic Interventions for Pain Management
PTA 1112 Pathology and Pharmacology
PTA 2014 Manual Techniques & Advanced Interventions
PTA 1224 Orthopedic Conditions and Interventions
PTA 1151 Clinical Prep I
BIO 2102 Clinical Anatomy
All PTA and BIO courses must be completed and a PTA program GPA of 2.5 or better.
