HIST 1723 - Survey of Civil since 1500 CE 3 Credit Hours
Course Description: Students will survey the history of the major civilizations of Mesoamerica, Africa, Asia, and Europe form 1500 C.E. to the present. After studying these civilizations in a compartive framework, students will be able to identify major patterns of political, economic, social, and cultural change and conflict over a period in which contact between civilizations bacame more frequent and sustained and the West rose to world preeminence.
Prerequisites: ENGL 0203, adequate placement score, or by meeting determined placement measures
