Students who complete SPAN 2123, Spanish for Health Professions, will qualify for a microcredential that represents foundational proficiency in medical Spanish, supporting improved patient-provider relations and responsive healthcare practice. Through targeted vocabulary, real-life clinical dialogues, and culturally-informed communication strategies, students learn to interact more effectively with Spanish-speaking patients. PreRequisite: SPAN 1115 or Instructor Permission.
