Quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction (qPCR)


After learning the basic principles of Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) in BIO 2125 - Microbiology or BIO 2234 Human Physiology, students will participate in a workshop that will reinforce those principles, along with introducing concepts related to real-time quantitative PCR (qPCR).  Students will practice micropipetting, complete multiple real-time qPCRs, perform gel electrophoresis, and analyze qPCR data and PCR results.

  • After having successfully completing one of the above courses or being actively enrolled in, earners will participate in a workshop to enhance principles and introduce new concepts.
