NUR 1525 - Nursing Process II-Surgical 5 Credit Hours
Course Description: NUR 1525 is designed to promote learner skills, including clinical reasoning, while meeting the multi-dimensional needs of clients across the lifespan within complex healthcare systems. NUR 1525 focuses on safe, quality nursing care of clients with common medical-surgical health alterations. Learners will be expected to use communication competencies, including technological competencies, while participating with the healthcare team to provide client-centered care. Each learner will also be expected to act in accordance with an increasing understanding of peronal accountability for compliance with professional role expectations, consistent with the values, ethics, legalities, and standards for nursing practice. NUR 1525 inlcudes theory, campus laboratory and clinical learning experiences. Online learning experiences are integrated components of the course.
Prerequisites: NUR 1519 , ENGL 1213 and BIO 1414 WITH MINIMUM GRADE OF C REQUIRED.
